Carl, can you share how you got it installed and working? My kids don't keep theirs charged so every time I ask for theirs, battery is dead. But I'd really love to be able to get it on their devices soon.

steps for bbm on ipod ans ipad
1.first download bbm from itunes (pc,mac)
2.download Xilisoft iPhone Magic Platinum trial link =http://www.xilisoft.com/iphone-magic.html
3.turn airplan mode on in ipod or ipad
4.turn on location service on via settings,privacy,location service...
5.Go to settings-Notifications-BBM-and set alert style to Alerts from Banners..
6.Turn on wi-fi Bluetooth
7.Install BBM from xilisoft iphone magic and connect internet through wifi and launch bbm setup bbm and enjoy....

This worked perfectly! I just installed BBM on both of my daughters' 4th gen ipod touches! Thank you so much for your help!

Another confirmation, iPod5 direct download works, 4 still gives a "this app requires GPS" msg

The ipod version is official now, so you just need to download it from the app store. No back door method

Ya I know, my son and his mother both have butterfingers, been dropped many times lol BUT on the bright side, it still works, just put a screen cover on to protect his lil fingers. It actually looks worse when in your hands lol
