I am in a BBMe chat group. Things are getting through with a delay. In that group someone with direct BlackBerry connections informed us that BB is working on it and progress is being made.
This morning I also have the problem. Messages will not be sent or only delayed. Currently nothing works at all. But overall the net seems to be very slow. Funny.
just received all previous msgs together!!! Even the ones which i had already read and responded to over the past 1 week!!! Seems to be working fine now.
For what it's worth, some users are getting msgs while some are getting nothing. I have two out of five users in my family group that are sending & receiving delayed msgs, while the rest are dead. Also curious if this was a result of the UEM 12.11 upgrade. Either way, all of us who have convinced our few remaining BBM contacts to move over to BBMe are looking pretty stupid now. Personally I'm getting tired of the "you still use a Blackberry" insults, and with this service outage of their "secure platform" I really can't defend the "software" company anymore.

Nothing confirmed but I’m reading articles regarding DDOS attacks on secured messaging applications related to Hong Kong demonstrations. Perhaps this is something bigger than BB and BBMe this go around?

That does sound interesting, and maybe a blog post on BBMe support would go a long way toward reassuring users that the service is down and will be back up soon. Meanwhile our few BBMe contacts are texting us, asking for an explanation. Sorry man, I've put enough of my own credibility at risk defending the "software" company. Knowing them, they will spin this as an advertisement for their secure messaging - "even Hong Kong protesters use our end-to-end encryption!"
Update at 8:50am EDT, msgs on the app and on the PC app are finally coming through in a torrent. We will see if it stays up since it recovered momentarily yesterday, then disappeared.
