BBM Emoticons are terrible

I couldn't understand why my friends wedding complaining that the emoticons on their BBM for Android are too small & they don't know what it is. So today I asked my friend to show me.

The emoticons on BBM on Android is about 1/3 the size of the emoticons of WhatsApp. No wonder they have been complaining about the emoticons. I have trouble making out some of the emoticons on WhatsApp as it is & BBM's emoticons are only 30% that size.

Is BBM going to increase the size of these emoticons? It's really stupid to have it so small.

Apparently they have increased the size of the emoticons in the latest BBM beta update (So I've heard). If true, they'll probably increase the size cross platform too

That's a good question, I've wondered, myself, because the they are rather minuscule on Android, and likely, iPhone as well.

Yes, apparently they have increased the size & I'm complaining about it after the size increase. Can't imagine how miniscule it was before the increase.

Maybe BlackBerry tried it on the huge Android tablets and forgot to try it on the mini 320x240 Android devices?

I totally agree as I even have BBM on Android and Emoticons there are USELESS! Even the emoticon arrangement on Watsapp is far better layed out. BBM badly needs to improve this. Also I wonder what made them not get such a simple thing right at the 1st go!

When people send an emoticon, I cannot tell what it is on my Z10.

Is that an emoticon or an emoji? I'm guessing an emoji and you mean like in regular text messages. If so, BB10 doesn't support all emoji sets yet

Emoticons = emoji.

Emoticons is a term that has been in use since the day's of Yahoo messenger or MSN messenger a decade or more ago. Whereas emoji is an app that was available on iPhone a few years ago & this app allows you to put emoticons on your messages on an iPhone.
