BBM could be popular if...

I think most of you face the problem of finding friends and in bbm.
In bbm, there is so complicated process to make new friends. We have to send a pin number via sms that user have to pay some money . For example I have 240 number in my contact list and I have to pay $4 for inviting my friends to bbm. It is equal to 4 years activating what is app.also most of them don't use bbm..

I believe finding Friends base on phone number is so better than pin number ..and we can make our social network faster and cheaper.. I see most of my friends disapear in my bbm contact list because of problem of finding and making new friends..

Are you agree with my opinion?

why are you paying money? And BBM does scan your contact list for finding friends now also

....which has never worked for me. It shows 2 people who definitely don't have BBM installed. And, my own twitter account !? This has not changed in the latest BBM versions, although BB claimed they have improved the process.
I don't agree with everything the OP said, but yes, the BBM find friends/invitation process still is a disaster, and the biggest roadblock for BBM to become more popular.

I think we should be able to get customised pin numbers. That's the easiest way I could think of.

You could send your pin by any other method, however you regularly talk to these folks

Yes but ideally you should be able to CHOOSE how you'd like to be found.

It used to be 'Pin only', now it pin/bbid.

There should be an option to allow users to
"find me using my pin +
- bbid email
- bbid email & active phone number
- active phone number"

Since phone numbers switch hands occasionally , there is workarounds you'd have to put in place to make sure contacts aren't getting suggested incorrectly (similar to imessage). But that's an easy fix, just don't feel like typing it out right now

BBM is only able to find contacts with BBM from your contact list if you add their email address in your contact list. Who in the world add email addresses in their phones contact list?

Only nerds & techies like some of us do it. None of my other friends does it especially iPhone & Android phones users.
