It seems now that my Samsung Tab 2 GT-P6200 running 4.1.2 got BBM directly from the Play Store. I'm now waiting for the approval email.

Promising -- looks like I'd have to root a phone to get it to work (old, ancient by today's standards, Galaxy phone) but I'm not that curious -- already have a Z10.

Works on HTC One 4.3. Is BBM integrated on anyone else's Contacts app on their android device? Unfortunately it's not yet with my device.

I bought my mom a GT-B5330 running 4.0.4 to replace her tired old 8520(that she loved).

I loaded BBM and got the confirmation email same day.

Those who are not able to install BBM on tablets, kindly try how to install official BBM app on Android Tablets. Try this trick if BBM is not available for your device from Google Play Store. Best of luck !!!

Now I've been able to install BBM App more than one in one handpone and all of them can be activated. Are you interest? I've the app that no need to download but just install it each app.. Feel like i've 7 BlackBerry's phone now (actually only one phone and its android, only have many BBM app in one android phone)
