    Hello. I am trying to help out a friend. She was a long time blackberry user that migrated to an iphone about a year ago. She is not being allowed to log in to her old BBM account via the email because it is "already associated with an id".

    How can she dis-associate her old account from her old bb device so she will be able to log in? (She still has her old phone, but it is not activated with any provider.)

    Go to forgot password and click DE activate this account
    That's what I did with my girl sorry for not explaining it better I don't remember

    She should merely need to select login into bbid, not create new id. Once logged in it should prompt her to associate this pin with her id and transfer any contacts under that bbid.

    the process of logging into the BBM using her existing BBID will dissociate the former device and move her BBM contacts to the new BBM app
