If you're on the US they didn't release the beta because supposedly we are running 10.1 and is not compatible

Van any one explain why with the BBM for ios does the app need to b open for it to accept BBM msg from recipient, this is very frustrating, as I am on my amazing Z10 and my bro is on his very boring iPhone 4 and I'll send him a dozen msg and it doesn't even show its been delivered. Only unit he opens the app will it show D and then R obviously because he had seen the msg. Very confused.

Something about the limited background running of apps on iOS or something iirc. Some people have explained it before on the forums, but I can't remember it exactly.

So it has nothing to do with the BlackBerry App then correct ,its an ios thing. It just doesn't make any sense how he can't be notified when I send him a bbm

No he should get notified, make sure he has his BBM notification on in the settings

I have noticed the same thing with my GF...the notification will be sent and make the noise and all that good stuff on her end...but on my end it will not show that it has been delivered or anything until she opens the app...

It really REALLY defeats the purpose of having the "D" when it won't even notify us the sender that is was successfully delivered. Not sure if BlackBerry can do anything to change that, but if they can, then it is an issue that they need to fix! As a BBM user, some of the main selling points they always highlight is the "D" and "R"...and if the message is sending but it won't show the "D" then it really makes no sense.

Not when open the app all the time, bit with ios, I only receive the D when my friend unlock the iPhone. But, I already contact a person of BlackBerry. He said they know this issue and are working to fix it.
