I noticed that every time I send my 13 year old a BBM message he doesn't read it because he is signed off. He says he is not signing off. Is there a way to keep the iOS from logging off, or is the iOS going to keep doing that?

Does he always go into the app switcher and close apps by flicking them up & away? If so, tell him not to bother.

It's the force-closing of the BBM app this way that is typically responsible.

I use BBM on an iPhone as well. I can see no way of actually signing off. BBM can be minimized, closed. But, if you go to Settings > Notification Centre > BBM, the settings can be adjusted. At minumum, I'd suggest setting Badges and Sounds to ON. Banners or Alerts are optional. With these settings, your 13 year old should be aware of your messages.

Yup. Major annoyance. Hope the new update resolves this quirk.
