Is there any news on this actually happening. I understand BBm have just launched to windows phones. So they are taking one thing at a time. They did originally say it would be to follow after voice calls on ios and Android . I know a few people who have z10's and we use it all the time. I would love to do the same with ios and android friends. As I am sure everybody here agrees. Any news?

As far as I know, no news on a timeframe still.

This is precisely the sort of non-performance that makes me crazy. Given all of the cross-platform video apps, why can't BlackBerry, years later, still not get BBM ready to go? Actually, why can't they even get landscape orientation working in the BBM app?

Does BlackBerry really want to compete in messaging? I thought that they cared about BBM.

For a while I too thought they cared about BBM.

Months without improvements and iOS app still questionable (don't know about Android) remind me how poorly performing they are on the app side of things.

I support BBM but their service is terrible even on my BlackBerry devices, I can't imagine how iOS and Android people feel about it.

My theory:

Still waiting to get a max of old BBOS users (BIS user then) with Classics and eventually Passport.

And that because crossplatform video would need a loooooot of ressources to get ready.

Get out BIS users first to get some space and time and finance to get the logistic sorted!

If they made BBM video for all, it may get loooot of new users and then the needed ressources would become giant!
Just see WhatsApp and there difficulty to get it sorted (even with the stack of money they have).

That not an easy task, and better wait a bit and keep working behind the scene than launch a semi (at best) capable solution for a �ni�me fiasco!

I would no longer expect this to happen. It's been well over a year since promised.

I agree with poster above who postulates BBM Meetings is being proposed as what BlackBerry promised.

Sadly... a monitized solution is NOT what BlackBerry promised. Chalk it up to one more in a long list of BlackBerry lies.
