There has been many negativity here against BBM Enterprise, there were people here who claimed bbme will shut down as soon as trial period is over, that it's securty is not good etc etc....
Yet reality is completely different , there are dozens of articles like this one about Viber, whatsApp and similar 3rd party NO PRIVACY garbage apps....

    https://www.vice.com/en/article/qj4q...ecurity-issues

I am so happy truth prevailed

Same goes for claims 'blackberry is finished, 'we have seen last blackberry smartphone' etc....

Any more naysayers about blackberry and BBM Enterprise?

Your article is specifically about Facebook's WhatsApp.

Where does the article say that BBMe is better? It actually specifically recommends Signal, Wickr, Wire, and Threema.

It actually slams WhatsApp because its code isn't public - nor is BBMe's.

You should really read this stuff before you post.

It has to do everything with this post.
Point is that many people (like yourself mostly) commented and prediceted BBMe's demise, aswell as blackberry's....and all you were wrong.
You personally claimed that bbme will cease to exist for individual use once trial period is finished.
You personally claimed viber and whatsApp and similar trash apps were more secure than bbme.....
    You were plainly wrong.
    End of story.

First, BBMe's existence beyond the trial has nothing to do with the article you posted

Second, I never said BlackBerry Limited was going under.

Third, I have never pushed any Facebook products in my life.

Fourth, the article does not even mention Viber.

Btw, I didn't say BBMe would disappear, I said it wasn't viable. Whether BlackBerry chooses to keep it going has nothing to do with my assessment.

There are so few users that previous BBMe threads here died from loneliness. Without any users, it doesn't matter how great. For sure, 2020 should have been it's comeback year but users chose to go elsewhere.

The other platforms can be worse or better. Why pay any money if all one is going to do is talk with self? Besides CB and BB fans, nobody cared to sign up even for trial. Blackberry Limited doesn't even talk about BBMe as importantly product.

Check out all the recent BlackBerry news for the last year. Before or after pandemic, you'd think BBMe would have gotten some traction with all the Zoom issues at the beginning.

Unfortunately it's a sad fact of life that often products that may be technically better than others for one reason or another don't succeed commercially. Think of Betamax v VHS or sony's mini disc v CD or DAY v compact cassette... the list is endless. I used BBM in its various guises for years but, as the people I talked to moved on to other platforms, the list of people I could message on BBM became smaller and smaller to the point where I had nobody left. When this happens there's not much point in still trying to use it no matter how good I may think it is. I still think BB10 offers a much better experience than Android but life has moved on and BB10 has not. I still use my Z30 everyday but I can't do my banking on it, nor can I use the UK's contact tracing app on it, etc, etc. So I also have to use a modern Android phone as well. Sad, but inevitable.
