    I've never seen a WP8 device either...and I don't know anyone that uses hangouts or gtalk...but I've never been to Mexico either and I'm pretty sure it exists

    LOL, now that I think of it, I haven't seen a WP8 device in public either (I have one).

    I do use Hangouts quite a bit.

    Hangout sounds like torture or unemployment haha
    I got lumia 820 wphone. Looks different but very boring. Apps are ugly..and you don't see many around.

    Ha! Good one emstar. I have used Google Talk for years, and a Lumia 925 (as my secondary device) for a couple of months. Only recently have I been able to use BBM (all my family/friends moved to iPhone or Android long ago). So far, I'm liking BBM, the WP8 and still using Google Talk/Hangouts (mainly while at my desktop). So far, BBM has worked very well for me and my family.

    Hangouts will be the default messaging app on android phones from version 4.4 on.. It also does everything that all the other messaging apps do. video chat, sms, mms, voice calls.. it has read status, doesn't require you to give phone number. You can also use it from your PC/Mac.

    Why would you use anything else?
