One of the great things about the Crackberry community is there are so many great personalities here. Have you ever wanted to drop someone a line off the boards to pay them a compliment or continue a discussion that had delved off-topic? Or perhaps you'd like to get in touch with someone who is selling an item you are interested in from the marketplace. Here is an easy guide on how to send someone a private message.

First, on the upper left of the Crackberry forums page, you'll see your user settings. Click on the settings link and select "Private Messages."

To the left you'll find your controls. Click on "Send New Message."

In the Recipient Users field, type in the name of the user you'd like to send the message. You can also copy and paste their username from the forums. Select their name from the list that populates.

Next, enter your title and body of the message.

When you are done, you can select an icon for your message, preview your message, or simply send it off.

While you wait for a reply, you can also choose how you would like to be notified when you get a response. Go back to your user settings, select general settings, and scroll until you find options for Private Messaging.

Have fun messaging your new friends!
