I envy you. Enjoy that new Berry!

I'm getting a Q5 soon to dip a toe in BB10. My 9900 is still my daily driver.

Your gonna love BB10. Don't let the nay-sayers get you down. Get a Z30 when they go on sale. (I believe they are now). Great screen real estate and that battery!!!!
I had the option of getting an iPhone, but ewww. No....

Nice! Did you build this from a KIT, or did you build it from SCRATCH? I used to dabble in metal art, and had a metal shop with welding and cutting and bending tools. I have been an Endurance Sport Athlete and have done Triathlon, and Cycling racing both pro and amateur. So, I decided to TRY and build a bike from Scratch, but never got it done. It's harder to do than some think. I just bought a new Carbon Fiber Kestrel that I am racing in a few weeks.

    Anyway, nice bike!

Actually it was a rusted univega frame I found at a flea market in Chicago ($40). I only had to weld a few points near the fork. Everything else I stripped it from being a 10speed down to a fix gear. The hardest part was changing the bottom bracket since I didn't have the proper tool for it. Scrubbed away as much rust as possible. When this guy told me he can powder coat it for $50 I just paid him for that. He removed all the rust (I couldn't remove myself) inside and out for me.

Not trying to Jack the thread, but when I did have my metal arts shop, I build a "Jig" for making a bike frame. Took me days to get the geometry right. I TIG Welded and Braised the Frame (Aluminum), and did the best I could. It came out "OK" but a bit on the crude side. Plus, aluminum frames and tig welds tend to be stress points and I didn't want to take a chance at speed under stress, so I trashed the thing and decided frame manufacture was not for me.

Would love to find a beater in the trash or on CL and fix it up. Restoring is something I would love to do. Thanks for your pics. Gives me an idea.
