Has anyone tried a successful unlock of an iphone on the verizon network?

Is this even possible with the new iphone firmware?

    thanks in advance.

verizon is on cdma and iphone is on the gsm network, which means they use SIM cards (like att and tmobile) and we cdma people (verizon alltel sprint) used an esn, which is like a phone fingerprint and that is what tells the network which phone is activated for which number

Won't happen! Ever! iPhone and its non-multitasking OS can stay out of our network

*EDIT* The other day my friend attempted to pull a SIM chip out of his Verizon phone....He lost that battle.

However when both Verizon and Apple are on LTE, it may be possible. But with all the rumors out there I doubt you will have to wait that long to get a verizon iphone....

It'll be awhile before the iPhone comes to Verizon..

The ATT contract runs through 2010.

Really? Because everything I read online says that nobody but apple and AT&T know when the contract truely ends. They signed a 2 year contract in 2007 thats the only thing that has been set in stone. Nothing more nothing less.

Exactly, you have no facts to back up your claim, no documentation at all, nothing. You are basing something as fact that in reality is a rumor. Has been saind publicly by both parties (Apple, and AT&T) that the original contract was 2 years, nothing since than has been released only rumored.

Your showing your ignorance bud. I dont care who you work for or your knowledge. I do know this though you, like the rest of america (minus the incredibly high ups of ATT and Apple) do not know the contract.
