- so what you guys are saying is that i can use this software meant for vodafone in east asia for my AT&T 8110?09-26-08 07:47 AMLike 0
- I downloaded it and installed it into DTM, and when I plug in my bb it doesn't recognize the updated software, therefore it wont install onto the blackberry. I know I'm doing it right, I've done it several times before and helped several customers. I wanna know if anyone else has had issues like this, and if there is a way to correct it?
Thanks,

I have an 8800 and my wife has a Pearl 8110. I have recently upgraded my BB using files from RIM and DM 4.6. Would I be able to upgrade my wife's using the file above even though all the content on my laptop is aimed at my 8800?? Not sure if having 2 BB will confuse Desktop Manager?
Hope that makes sense?09-29-08 09:00 PMLike 0 - I downloaded it and installed it into DTM, and when I plug in my bb it doesn't recognize the updated software, therefore it wont install onto the blackberry. 1) You download the correct software.
2) Delete vendor.xml file like Garz says
Otherwise DM will act like you never tried to upgrade.Last edited by sam1ee; 09-29-08 at 09:28 PM.

- Hi all!
After upgrading my AT&T 8110 with 4.5.0.81, every time I open an sms text message the red LED stays on and never clears until rebooting the system. It's a solid red and everything seems to function fine other than that. Any one have any ideas as to why its doing this?
Thanks,
s-one09-30-08 11:40 PMLike 0 - Well the first time I downloaded I picked the wrong one which I thought was 8100. So I could never get it to recognize there was an update. Then I realized that I was trying to install the wrong package. Went back to original post and grabbed the 8110 download, delete the vendor file and it installed fine. Just that weird solid red light when opening a text.10-01-08 05:52 PMLike 0
- I have used both both .69 and .81
.81 is more stable... I did a battery pull 3x's in a week with .69
I haven't done a battery pull yet with .81
I play a lot of brickbreaker. With .69 the ball was choppy and would be hard to follow. It is much smoother with .81
One problem that I have with .81: I cannot go to -->Options->About to see what version. It just doesn't respond. With .69 it showed up right away. Otherwise I think .81 is better than .69 and smoother. Fast is smooth and smooth is fast.10-01-08 08:33 PMLike 0
