Here's a link to the instructions to put MMS on your Sprint 8830. I have only tested this on my Sprint device, and I am unaware if it will work on any other carrier. Feel free to try it, but you do so at your own risk!

Since this has apparently worked for Sprint, could this also work for Verizon given that it seems that the only thing holding it back is the gateway address? Example, if the MMS books were taken from an 8330 and loaded onto an 8830

Possibly, but not necessarily. You would have to test with the appropriate Verizon service book records.
.... I don't think that having the MMS service books are enough, because in general, carrier provisioning is also required to enable additional features.
sR
Aero, SR...
It looks like SR may be right. I have the books on my phone, but none of my MMS messages are going through. Whether it be to an email address or another phone...any other ideas
