Download Software Here (All Languages)04-28-11 10:46 AMLike 0 - Hey rroyy, isn't there a .534 release from Virgin Mobile? or what happened there?
Should we download/install this one? (in my case, .534 is already on my device)04-28-11 12:15 PMLike 0 - Some wants to use operator specific softwares. If you like to load latest you should go to virgin 53404-28-11 01:26 PMLike 0
- Download the latest (6.0.2.44) from the blackberry website
That could probably solve your issue, unless it's related to something else. IE: Windows.04-28-11 06:46 PMLike 0 - Same thing for me, 90.5MBs free I basically don't install anything that i won't be needing, and if i ever need to use it, i just install it after. Something that never happened04-29-11 10:03 AMLike 0
- After loading OS6 I noticed the BB Bridge would not work. Does not sync with my PlayBook either. I went back to 5.0.0.979. Everything works now. POS AT&T04-29-11 11:46 AMLike 0
- I didn't expect this so soon! Nothing over "wireless update". I'll hook my BB to the computer in the AM.
How is/was this build for everyone?
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com05-01-11 02:56 AMLike 0 - I downloaded the update from the site. I installed it on my pc and when i clicked update in the manager it doesnt show the new version
Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong or missing here05-03-11 04:26 PMLike 0 - Does anyone know if 6.0.0.526 fixed the problem "Unable to hide sent items while reconciling email on the BlackBerry smartphone" described in KB25380?
The KB article has not been updated, and I would hate to update devices only to find that bug still there.
Thanks.05-03-11 06:34 PMLike 0 - I dl'd and installed this OS on my phone last Friday. So far, I'm loving it! Apparently though, it didn't install Social Feeds, which from what I've read, is what I've been wanting. I'm in the process of dl'ng DM 6, hoping I can install it that way. Any thoughts?
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com05-05-11 09:10 AMLike 0 - So, after having a couple days, a few thoughts of mine.
I have yet to come across any bugs. I'm not sure what I was worried about, but so far as good.
The Webkit browser isn't really much better than the old one. Tabs are great, but if you have more than one open it seems to hog a lot of system resources and processor time. So it's generally easier to just do one tab at a time. It really doesn't seem any faster, either, and the zoom function is weird. I'm really dissapointed in it, though the way it works I'm sure on a touchscreen phone it would be pretty awesome.
After spending some time figuring out where the things I liked about 5 were in 6, I liked it a lot more. I'm finding a new theme (I use them for months and months before changing), so I have to look at the boring default AT&T one.
Also, the way that SMS/MMS work now is kind of weird. They seem to be combined, which I'm not fully against, but I think that since I tend to have a lot of texts in my phone that it'll start affecting performance far more in OS6 than it ever did in 5 (which was not at all). So I guess we'll see how that goes as messages start to pile up. Maybe this version will be smart enough to actually delete messages after 15 days and not just conversations that are 15 days old.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. I don't like that I only have about 80Mb free, but what are you gonna do? It's fluid and fast, though, which is great. Plus, I really like the way they redid the menus.
On a side note, I really think they should've called it like 5.5 rather than 6. It's not really that huge of an upgrade (unless the huge upgrade is below in the programming, but as a UI and things, it's not a whole lot different). I think people would've expected less out of it at that point, which would've helped it go over better.05-05-11 10:40 PMLike 0
