Pretty sure I'm gonna ditch the Vlingo, just can't put my finger on what to switch it to.
PS-first post
Not to get OT or anything, but what OS are you running? If it's .247 or higher, the app switcher is accessible by pressing and holding the BB key to the left of the trackball.
L=Quicklaunch
R=phone(have no dial form home screen this just makes it simple for me and yes I know that I can just press the green button just my way)

I had capture it on the left for a little bit, but I kept bumping the damn thing and had a bunch of screenshots in my media folder. then I went back to the keyboard lock, it's very convenient. camera is on the right, I have a habit of bumping that too.
I use Autolock so I don't need a lock button. It adds some flexibility to the default lock when LCD shuts off. The Menu button is an extremely fast route to App Switcher, I got rid of Vlingo, so currently mine are:
Left - Media (quick shortcut to 4 apps at once, plus file browsing)
Right - Manage Connections. Very handy for switching bluetooth on and off when getting to the car, or scanning for WiFi, etc. As far as I know there are not already other shortcuts for these.

+1 - identical setup
