So i was running the leaked version of .524 for some time .. I had some issues with it, and when i realized that Verizon Officially released this same .524 Build, i wiped device and installed Official .436 Alltell.

Installed,.. restored Backup, re-installed all my apps .. and been using the device for a few hours, now when i check device version it shows .524 as if the phone updated itself automatically after i put on .436 ??

    Any Ideas ??

Unless you initiated an update via OTA or DM, it didn't do it magically by itself.

I did none of the above.. I updated some email account management in the phone,. that's the only update i initiated. so unless it came down in that.

the first time I tried to install bundle 2333 for 6.0 the 507 error occurred and wiped everything off my phone, what was this update that put me in a sour mood?

You definitely would know if the phone was updating itself, which technically can't happen, but even if it did, it would not be a quick process that would go unnoticed.

You're supposed to get the 507 error when it wipes your phone. It should just start loading the new OS after rebooting the device though.

There is no way the update happened by itself.

I have never heard of a phone updating itself without human intervention of some kind, i believe you activated it somehow without realizing it and there is an option i believe once you ok it for it to happen at a later time.

I say you never got it downgraded to .436 in the first place.

Yea, I agree with the others, you must've clicked the option to upgrade later...its not going to do it by itself, while you're installing apps! When it ota updates, you're entire phone is out of commission, it wouldn't allow you to download apps at the same time

Or like kbz said, maybe you didn't downgrade it, did you uninstall .524 from your computer before you installed the .436 build on it?
