Yea CX, was extremely wrong on that comment he posted. If it didnt do anything why would be tons of threads and ppl doing it and saying how wonderful their experience has been with the hybrid .103/.106
i replaced my net_rim_bb_mms.cod file with the same one from .83 hopefully that might fix the mms problem. i will let you know. i do not have the .109 mms cod so whoever gets it loaded lemme know if the mms problem is fixed with this update
SO whats the difference in the "full" version and just the java?
the full version is for the 9500 which we do not have so it will not load onto our 9530's. the java files are compatible with the 9530 because they are the same applications on both 95xx's. so taking the updated .109 java files puts updated files onto our 9530's. get it?

You and the others do what ever makes you happy. Again I only work with BlackBerry's everyday for a living. Furthermore, if the 103/106 was so great, why upgrade? There should be no reason for another build. If 103/106 was that great. Maybe you should do some research and find out what's actually in the java files, and what's different. And then do some research on the actual BB OS itself and how the Platform, along with radio codes and a few other things are the most vital and most important. But if it makes you all happy go right ahead. I'm all for you enjoying youtr Storms.

No, no I get that part. I'm talking the downloads. There is a Java only and a "full" version. Is the "full" version just for people who dont want to do the whole copy folders thing?
Also when you do this does it say version .109 or does it still display .103?

sometimes thinking you have something better is all it takes to make it better...

ok the full version is for the 9500 like an entire beta os. they download it and run it and it installs through dm. if you do not have the 9500 then you would download the full version and inside that full version is the java folder, which is what all of us 9530 people are after. instead of downloading the full version we just download the java files. its like the nut inside a peanut. all we really want is the delicious nut on the inside
quick question if the old Java file is replaced with a new java file what will exactly happen as far as functionality with the storm since that platform has not changed? Just tryin to get a better understanding ....
