Hello to you all fellow devs!

I have been thinking and doing some research in regard to what are the best type of apps to develop and sell.
There are many apps out there, basically two different types,

    1) Apps that are functional and make life easier.

    2) Apps that are for entertainment and looks.

    So here is the scenario...

In your experience in selling apps and/themes in BlackBerry World (or other storefronts)out of your revenue what type of app has been the most profitable to you and why???

I look forward to finding out from a greater perspective from other developers!

    Thanks in advance!

I personally have found that my functional apps sell better over a longer period of time, more level sales. But, games and entertainment apps see a higher sell point and then taper off over time.

One piece of advice that is especially relevant to the current BB situation:

    Don't invest in niche apps.
The only way to get a reasonable number of downloads with such a small user base is to develop for the mass market. You need something that 90% of people would at least consider trying, as opposed to something that 0.1% of people can't live without.

Yeah, like a vibrator app would be good for me, but not everyone.

P.s. We need a vibrator app that doesn't stop after 1 minute

Yeah, I'll use it on my phone because it runs faster and is actually supported!

    Can I beta test?

Thank you very much for all your insight! I appreciate it very much!
I think the key is to keep the design of apps in functional basis and stay away from niche apps..

    Thanks again!
