Hello, I'm currently developing a Weather Forecast API for WebWorks / WebApp (Blackberry 10 and Playbook, Android and iOS)

The project will be hosted at GitHub

It is open source, so everyone can use it.

Feel free to comment about ideas and features

    Features:
    - Detailed forecast 4d
    - Forecast 14d
    - Charts
    - Weather maps
    - Cache data
    - Location based search

Do you intend to include the ability to change weather sets on this app? or is this something a developer would use in his/her own app?

What do you mean with "Weather sets" ?

A developer can use the API in his/her app, to create a new weather app, or just a widget. Everything is fully customizable (image sets, location and more)

His is open source while others are not. I really like the idea of open source apps for BlackBerry 10.... If properly implemented, it may solve some of the native app gap.

    Any devs up for it?

I've done some research in the appworld, and the only good Weather App i could find was "Weather plus reloaded". The other apps were Android apps.

My findings so far: (image attached)

All the apps are bad rated, inaccurate or Android ports.

Some apps are displaying (for my location) :
    Visibility : 0km
    Humidity: 98%
    Temperature: 8

Well, none of that is true.

My weather API is accurate (for the locations that I have tested)

And I also like open source development, that's why I started developing apps. (And because the documentation was poor on the Blackberry Dev site)

You'll learn the most from open source development.
