Here's a question for the BlackBerry devs for their take, based upon the data they see:

Are you seeing a growing percentage of Q10 downloads for your apps?

For a long time, I've had an unproven theory that the Z10 was the most prominent of the BlackBerry 10 devices. It had the widest carrier support (initially), the biggest marketing push (initially) and was the longest on the market. Despite BlackBerry 10's well known acceptance issues, it always seemed to me that the Z10 was in a lot more hands than the Q10, Q5 or Z30 because of the aforementioned features.

*HOWEVER*, I often wondered if the Q10 would have longer staying power over the course of its life, because it was more traditionally a BlackBerry. I suspected that the Z10 would dry up much more quickly.

Every morning, I ride the TTC subway in Toronto. Every day I see BlackBerry 10 devices, probably because I go take public transit in rush hour in Canada's biggest city. At first, I saw many more Z10s. In the last month or so, I've noticed that there seem to be more Q10s in hands on the subway than Z10s. Still haven't seen any Q5s or Z30s unfortunately.

Just curious what the app developers are seeing in their download metrics? Is the Q10 rising in the total proportion of BlackBerry 10 app downloads in your metrics?

I haven't seen much of a change in the ratio of Q10 to other devices. Z30 took a tiny chunk out of both Z10 and Q10 since the fall (~6%), but Z10 has always outnumbered Q10 by about 3:1

A Recovery Pro - BlackBerry World

Unfortunately you can't buy it, since it's only available in the US due to copyright restrictions.
