There is an app for andriod and iphone that was incredible its called words with friends. Its basically the only thing I miss about either phones I love my blackberry and would like to see this ported to it if I wanted to try and do this myself but not really sure what the development process is like for the bb

If by porting you mean one button press automatic fully workable ported product, then no. Otherwise, you can rewrite the app from objective c (ios) into "blackberry" java by looking at the original source code, but you may hit some walls with rim's api and it will probably be a long tedious process.
