Make an app that gives an audible indication of the current cpu usage.
Under normal use it should "tick" periodically.
If all cores are pegged it should make a constant tone.
So if the users "hears" a lot of CPU activity they could use the available tools to see what processes are using up their battery and making their phone hot.

I have not checked to see if anyone has already done this fairly obvious idea.
    Just a thought.
I take no responsibility for any IP issues or any other issues for that matter.

If you find it annoying don't install it or don't launch it.
    Hope that helps.

When you have the problem it is intended to help solve the annoyance is tolerable.

It sounds quirky and fun... let me think about it. I'm not sure if I can access the cpu usage but if I find a way - consider it done.

There's the "pidin info" command line that has some info about memory usage, I'll check if I can find something else that has more detailed information.

If you need the code needed to show this pidin command line returned value, let me know, I'd be glad to share.

    Thanks Roger

I wasn't planning to use Cascades for it though so accessing pidin might be hard. But maybe it makes sense to use cascades for it.
