Really weird. I uninstalled link and blend. Then re-installed them both. Then under windows update, it told me there was some "blackberry net" update", I clicked it, and suddenly link works again.

Did Microsoft fix the problem? Did blackberry? Where did this late 2016 "Blackberry Net" update come from?

    Its called

    "BlackBerry - Net - 3/23/2016 12:00:00 AM - 1.0.0.38"

I'm the latest, most updated anniversary edition of Windows 10 pro.

Just did a new backup of my phone. Also managed to fix the android runtime issues with 10.3.2 by updating just the android.shell and sys.android to 10.3.3 (can properly uninstall via cobalt google ID now)

I've got stuff on there like tinder, google maps, loads of modded apps, so super cool to back it all up.

Found out this was an update to the teethering driver for windows, released last year.

Probably this was before BB decided to ditch bb10. Seems like if you have the updated tethering driver, it all works good as new. You just have to uninstall, reinstall, and have windows set to update other software (and maybe manually trigger it, and maybe have the latest windows everything).

You don't seem to be able to manually download the driver from somewhere. That would be a cool thing for all the people with BB link troubles!

    BlackBerry - Net 1.0.0.38

    huh.

Does anyone know if this solution will work for older models, like a BB Q10 running OS 10.3.2.2530 ?
Also, is there a site where earlier OS or BB Link releases are available?
BlackBerry is silent on this topic, and I think I misplaced my super ultra secret Skull and Bones password.

This worked for my Classic running OS 10.3.3.1463 but I also deleted all Blackberry/RIM entries on my Win 8.1 PRO using regedit.exe and deleted all "Blackberry/RIM" folders in Program Files(x86) after Link was uninstalled/reboot/re-install/reboot. Thanks for the post, I have been trying to fix this problem since it broke earlier this year.
