    Hello All

I wasn't exactly sure which forum to post my problem.

I have a new computer with Windows 7. I downloaded a fresh copy of Desktop Manager 6 (601_b021_multilanguage) and installed.

My USB cable is plugged in the back of the desktop so that I have good voltage/connection.

Desktop Manager was able to recognize my Blackberry model (Storm 2 - 9550), pin and phone number. In the lower right corner is a small green circle that spins and the words CONNECTING appear but that is as far as it goes.

On my handset I do have turned on Media Transfer Protocol and Mass Storage (although I sure don't understand what either of those mean - just read elsewhere).

What else do I need to do to be able to get my phone to sync and back up?

check you usb port settings and also check your network settings that in the advanced field, sharing with other networks is unticked ( this was a previous tcp/ip issue)
you should not select anything on your BB, just plug it in

sometimes my 9700 plays up when i connect it to windows 7, i find not selecting an option on you bb the best solution and then it nearly always connects to the manager.
