Just a couple thoughts... maybe RIM is doing this for the cell phone provider's benefit... who knows, I don't work for RIM.
Why is running the Loader.exe such a PAIN??? It's easy. You are already there in order to delete the Vendor.xml file.
cuz every time i do it dosnt work, even though im doing exactly as people say lol
You're doing what??? DM or Loader.exe.... as far as I've ever recommended or many others on this forum have recommended, we've been saying use Loader.exe and NOT DM!!!
If you put the .545 Leak on it, it will load via DM
that one and .566 I have done with DM last 2 leaks
ok so, tell me how u install ur OS. the steps u do, from downloading it from the internet all the way till ur done.
Normal Upgrade:
Step 1: Do a comprehensive backup in case anything goes wrong... after this is done, disconnect your device.
Step 2: Remove any other OS versions on your PC thru Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
Step 3: Download and Install OS on your PC.
Step 4: Remember to delete vendor.xml file if your carrier the OS is not from your carrier... it's located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
Step 5: Connect device to PC and click on the Loader and let the process initiate. Loader can be found in the same folder as the vendor.xml file.
Step 6: Do not unplug the device during the process. Process may take around 30-60 minutes to complete.
same thing for me except i dont always delete previous OS's as its not necessary. and for the OP, using the loader.exe is much easier than doing an OS upgrade through DM. its all i use now.
