Could try uninstall, then clearing the Registry of any mention of BlackBerry and delete any file locations (other than saved documents and backups).

    Try reinstalling

Try disabling all utilities - malware, viruse

    Try running as Administrator

If the previous steps did not work, maybe you have a corrupted download of the BB Link software. Try downloading the software again.

Why not just download an autoloader and update the OS that way.

i have downloaded the autoloader. tested it on my computer but it opens and quickly closes by itself immediately without doing any work. I have tried it on another computer using Windows 8 but it freezes the screen without doing anything as well.

    The file is good.

Do you have the USB drivers installed for the device?

Reboot and don't use WiFi. Or use another WiFi.

I bought this phone on Ebay and i wanted to erase every information that was in it. so i did.Last Month i use the autoloader to flash my Q10, because i was having the same issue i am having now after i reset it to factory.

i thought that erasing the old software will solve the issue but it did not. i have used many WIFIs connection before but it did not changed anything.
i do not know what is going on.

Why are you not using your service data? Are you not putting in the SIM card? You don't HAVE to use wifi to set it up.

my SIM do not have internet data service. hence why i used WIFI. you should have understood that.

Last time I checked I wasn't a fortune teller. You should've explained in more detail of why you had to use WIFI.

Are you using open wifi networks when you try this or closed? Usually the open wifi networks require you to sign in via webpage and you may not have that option since you are only in setup.

no, it is not an open wifi network. it is a closed. it might be something else causing the issue, i will try others wifi as suggested and see how it goes.

It should go to the BBID sign in page, I believe. The phone I practised the setup on , had the previous owner's BBID and email in place. Thankfully, no BlackBerry protect in place. I did a factory reset, and continued on with the new information. It worked.
