Spoke too soon. Now even the previous version can't connect to BBID anymore. This after a reboot.
It connects to the phone, but it also takes about 3 min. to start up and says it can't sign in.
Not that I need it to. I don't use wireless syncing or remote file access with the work PC.
I'm not touching the home PC with this new version

I had the exact same results; I was able to do everything but sign in. There must be an issue isolated to Link as I can sign in with my BBID anywhere else where it is required.

Like the new interface.
Still hate the fact that it's an unreliable POS that doesn't sync right most of the time. If I see one more arbitrary, "These 127 music files did not copy" as a result of no logical reason, I might punch my computer.
Why is it this garbage software usually fails to do the simple tasks expected of it? Ie. "syncing your music and videos to your device".
Anyone????
Is that happening over USB or wifi sync? If wifi, the device has to be plugged in the entire time.

The last 1.2.1.x update took FOREVER to initially recognize my Q10, it finally did and everything is working fine. Give it at least 5min.
USB.
I can not sync contacts...BlackBerry Link does not work.

My main complaint about Link is how SLOW it is. Slow to load...slow to recognize device...slow to back up. Given that, it has always worked for me, except the first time. I have two laptops, one with XP and the other Win7. Today I updated the old XP first by simply hitting the update software notification. After the update, reboot, and Link loaded, I closed it down and rebooted again. I don't believe this really made a difference but I did it any way. Brought Link up, attached my device, and was able to back it up and sync contacts...no problem. Just SLOW!
I'm in the USA on a Verizon Z10, running the official Rogers 10.2 OS. I don't have any sideloaded apps, over 40 apps from BBW, no music, no movies, quite a few documents, and hundreds of photos stored on a 32gb sd card. I put this info out because I have to wonder what might be causing some to have success with Link and others to fail. Could the issue be a leaked OS or sideloaded app causing the desktop softaware and device to not connect or back up? The first time I used Link I couldn't get it to recognize my device and I switched from a generic USB cable to the one that came with Z10....problem solved.
This Link build is performing smoothly for me, in relation to use of computer resources, disregarding the fact that Link itself is slow. Although, still unreliable overall.
I added The Microsoft Outlook Connector and now have wireless sync for my contacts and calendar. The kicker in all of this is I have a case number with BlackBerry and had a scheduled time to work through the problem. They never called....
