I have checked all emails that have been sent to me. There are no unopened emails, text messages or voicemail but there is an envelope icon on the device desktop indicating that there is an email waiting and unopened. What do I need to do???

Voicemail? or maybe check the call log.

Try a battery pull. I have seen a time or two where the device thought that there was a message there but there wasn't.

Thanks very much. Checked all logs.Nothing unopened. Powered down my Bold and pulled the battery.

I have the same problem. Battery pull didn't clear it for me. I deleted all the emails on my handheld and there is still this indicator.

Have had this problem before and never found a solution...It just seemed to go away.

I did a battery pull and it went away. I have since gotten QuickPull.

I had this and it bugged me for ages, then in a flash of inspiration I realised that I had saved an unread message straight from the messages screen to the saved messages folder. The email disappeared from my messages when I deleted it after saving, but the icon stayed as the saved version was still "unread".

Try that.....
