have a mac running the latest version of Desktop Manager and it fails to recognize that I should be eligible for an update to OS 5 from
v4.6.1.314 (Platform 4.2.0.135). I have tried many of the other macs in my household and they haven't been able to work either. Are there any suggestions, should I try a friends PC to update ? Device: 8520 Carrier: o2 UK

Yes.

Mac support depends on the OS loader being able to install itself. It does install correctly on Windows XP/Vista/Seven.
