I took all of my contacts from the blackberry into outlook. I got behind entering client information into the phone and wanted to do it on a real keyboard so it wouldn't take forever.

I noticed outlook didn't save the category information of the contacts, which is important to me.

I figured when I sync back to the phone, I will add each client to their respective category manually. However, it decided to completely erase the category information for every other contact.

Luckily I backed up right before syncing. However, I need a way to either have BDM/outlook it not erase all of the other contacts, or to work with categories. What am I missing?

Its free and updates your contacts in real time.

This issue doesn't exist in newer outlook versions, although newer outlook versions are still horrible.
