I have spent all day trying to get the Blackberry Desktop Manager to install. Every time I get an "Error 1904" message. Does anyone have a solution? Verizon couldn't help and Blackberry's solutions didn't work either.
I think that's a windows error. Have you tried to contact your computer manufacturer? Since neither verizon or rim could help you I'd say that's the next place to try. And have you tried a google search on the error? There are some really good tech articles that may be able to help.
I had a similar experience with installing. I discovered that my disc was defective and had to get a new one from R.I.M. I then learned that 5.0 has a couple minor bugs, so I just downloaded 4.7 from the BB site. I've heard a couple stories about bad discs.
