    Hi,

I'm a Macbook owner and I use it almost everyday to sync or transfer media to my Z10, but for some unknown reason, Link doesn't recognize my phone anymore (Macbook does). I tried a number of methods that was advised by users here but those didn't work out for me. Here's the solution that worked for me and a couple of other people I know.

    1. Go to your Z10 settings, Storage and Access and set the USB mode to Autodetect.
    2. Connect your phone using the USB cable.
Z10 should mount the Link install disk on your Macbook.
    3. Open the installation, it should offer an option to download and install Link. Click next or whatever advancing option you have. Now the installer should present you with an additional option as Install driver only. Click on it, let it finish doing its job.

Once the installation of the driver is done, it will prompt to restart your Macbook, do it. Now your Z10 should be working fine again.

One more cool feature. Once you connect your Z10 to your Macbook, Link will prompt you to enter the device password if you have one set. Enter the device to unlock access to it. Open a Finder window and press Command+Shift+K, this will bring up the Network folder where you can easily access your Z10 phone storage + micro sd card storage if you have one present.

    Have a great day ahead

I'm having trouble with this. I don't see the option to only install drivers. Am i missing something?

    1. Did you follow the above mentioned steps?
    2. I connected my Z10 to a mac running Mavericks today, just to test... I had the option to install drivers only. not sure how you missed it.

Definitely not missing it, just doesn't give me the option. I initially get a choice to install which the folder shows install or uninstall. Install takes me into the app instalation, and that installs the app. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but haven't seen the option to install only drivers at any point.

That's really a head scratcher... even on Windows you get this option.

I appreciate the help. It has to be something with my macbook I assume rather than blackberry.

I really don't think it's the Macbook. Coz this option has to be displayed... thats part of the installer.
Anyways, I'm guessing you already uninstalled Link completely before you tried this?
