I read a post where someone updated to Blend and in doing so it replaces Link?

Link is still needed for backups/media syncing/what it does now.

The Blend installer comes with drivers for the phone, Link and Blend.

Blend messed up my link. i cant install link as apprently "theres a newer version already installed" when i uninstalled blend this error happened, now that ive reinstalled blend as its the only thing that installs i cant uninstall it as i have to restart my pc then try again, tried that no luck. i have to go into c drive and delete files manually etc even then i get the same error with link. no 10.3.1 dev os for me. bit off topic but yeah blend probably wont replace it for autoloaders

Blend does not replace Link. You still need link to do phone backups.

No. When I installed Blend, it installed a new version of Link. Link is for device maintenance, Blend is for communication functionality (less calls) on desktop/tablet.

Too messy.. They are two different functions. Blend also runs on tablets.
