    The Rim.Desktop.Exe process doesn't appear to be terminating properly when I close the BlackBerry Desktop Software application.

    The window closes and the program appears to have closed, but the process remains running. This means the next time I try to run Desktop Software, it doesn't load the application window and I have to manually terminate the process before I can run the application.

    Windows 7 x64
    Latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Software.

    Any known workarounds/fixes?

    I have this EXACT same problem, on a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge laptop. I've searched and searched and found little reported on it.

    I'm still trying to figure something out myself. I've wondered if it's a 64 bit issue.
