I forgot the password to access my password keeper and after 10 try's, all my saved passwords were wiped. I backed up the device before the wipe but when I try to restore the password files through the DM, the password files are read-only and cannot be restored. Is there any other way to access these files? Can I access them through the backup on the computer and manually copy them back to the device?

I think you are out of luck. I don't know any way to recover the passwords without knowing the master password. If you could, that would not be very secure.
