I just downloaded the new Mac Desktop Manager for my mac and when i try syncing my contacts to my address book on my computer it keeps giving me options of merging or replacing. since i don't have anything on the address book i chose merging since it'll bring my BB contacts onto my computer but when syncing is in progress it keeps giving me a syncing error and tells me to retry it again. Is anyone else having this problem with their MAC Desktop Manager? Are there any solutions to this?

I have seen one other report of this. You may need to call VZW, but they will tell you they do not support it. Ask to xfered to RIM.

Also make sure your suystem requirements meet the software needs.

    System Requirements
    Mac OS X v10.5.5
BlackBerry Device Software v4.2 or higher
    iTunes v7.2 or later

Also try a backup first and then try the sync. Seems to help some.

I had same problem with beta and eventually got it working. Well, wouldn't put any events on phone but showed iCal. What I did, don't recall but looking through threads to find what I posted. :P

The official version is doing the same exact thing. If I found out what I did, I will post it here.

EDIT: Make sure iSync is enabled. (mine is and still get same message)

But you need 10.5 (Leopard) installed in order to upgrade that way to 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

Yeah, if you're running Tiger I think you have to eat the $169 and buy the Mac Box Set in order upgrade all the way up to Snow.

do you guys KNOW this or are you speculating...I have read numerous posts on APPLE's tech website that say this is not true...you can go from tiger to SL

    here is just one post

you will of course not have current versions of iLife, etc....which is why folks suggestyou do the full route.

"I think" (see my post above) means I'm speculating. The issue doesn't really concern me because I upgraded from Tiger eons ago.

Someone else in one of the other DM threads just stated that they successfully upgraded from Tiger directly to Snow, so we're probably wrong.
