    I have suddenly started having a problem with the syncing of tasks with outlook.

    I have a bold 9700 running OS 5.0.0.442. Normally I am able to sync with outlook without any problem, however if I have entered a new task on my device, then during the syncing process the desktop manager will crash. I get the typical message "We're sorry, but Blackberry Desktop Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close".

    If I then go back and delete the task I just entered on my device, I can sync without problem.

    If a task is entered in Outlook, I am able to sync as normal and the task is appropriately transferred to the device.

    I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop manager and have insured that my syncing rules for tasks is 2-way.

    This issue occurs when using the native task app as well as BHive Tasks. Thinking that it may be the BHive app that was causing problems I removed it from my device, but still encounter the same problems while using the native app.

    I have looked through all the threads on syncing problems and am unable to find anything remotely similar to this.

    Anyone have any ideas what may be the cause and solution?

    No ideas presently but it may help to include: windows version; outlook version; DTM version
