I just downloaded the new 5.0 OS for my 9630....it installs fine and everything else but when i go to update it through desktop manager it only installs the BBM 5.0 it wont update my OS....and i def did install the 5.0 OS not just the 5.0 BBM its frustrating cuz its done this one previous OS and i figured it might be different for 5.0 but still nothing...

First remember that BBM 5.0 does not work with OS 5.0. The second thing would be to try the app loader and run it to see if it installs the OS.

yeah i tried the application loader i attempted to update applications and it tells me no actions are required and the same for add/remove applications

disregard i figured it out......apparently you have to delete the vendor.xml file which is located in the RIM folder to install any OS that isnt directly from verizon.....which i just did and am now on my way to installing 5.0....ummmm how do u downgrade BBM if it doesnt work on 5.0 haha
