I use a mac computer... How can I put the new 9700 on my bb?I'm completely new to BB, and someone said that I had to use a PC. Is this true? What should I do?

Short answer is that you can't. You have to use windows to upgrade. There was a tutorial for doing it on a mac but its just unnecessary hassle. Just use a virtual machine like parallels desktop or vmware fusion. They're easy enough to setup. Otherwise you can use bootcamp.

try inserting the software that came with your phone
Yea IM using Snow leopard with DM for mac and Im having the same issues. Tried Parallels and fusion which worked, but i would upgrade ram before you do so. Uses alot of virtual memory. (But that can be adjusted within the program)
its easier to upgrade on a pc.
