    Hello All. My name is Jeanette. I just got my replacement 8900 in the mail and it won't let me switch from my old 8900 to my "new" 8900 in Desktop Manager. When I switched from my curve to my 8900, I didn't have any problems. It seems as though DM doesnt recognize my new pin. Does anyone know if I am doing something wrong or could it be the phone? I am so frustrated. I need some expertise before I lose it. Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

    Try a battery pull, and if you have DM 4.7 try to downgrade to 4.6, you can locate the download for that at BlackBerry's website. Also try a different USB cable, might not be fitting snug!

    Have you tried a different USB cable? Or a different USB port on your PC? DM should be able to read your new pin if it can see your device.

    Are you even sure the computer is recognizing that the phone is connected
    to the PC, period? I'd just delete and then re-install that USB driver real quick
    and see if that's the case.

    And as mentioned above, DM 4.6 is a better bet.
