At my wits end with Blackberry Software.
Now, some of you might say that's not a very long journey, and it'd be a fair comment. But I fix technology for a living, and I'm reasonably sure it isn't me.
About three weeks ago my Blackberry simply stopped synching with the software. I uninstalled the software, downloaded the latest version, reinstalled and tried again. No joy.
I've reset my Blackberry back to factory settings.
I've uninstalled the software, run ReVo uninstaller to strip all references to the software from the computer, restarted, reinstalled, and tried again.
I've tried different data cables to connect the computer to the blackberry.
I've tried different USB sockets.
When I connect the Blackberry to the computer via the data cable, I get a message appearing saying "USB Drive is plugged in" and offering me the chance to charge, synch media, etc.
I can copy files to and from the device quite happily.
However, the software simply doesn't recognise it.
I've been on to the Blackberry website and tried to use their OS Update page at BlackBerry 6 OS Update and Key Features .
I click update, and the popup appears saying 'select a device to connect' and it can't see the Blackberry.
I've tried asking at the Blackberry site and apparently nobody knows what to do.
Of course, there isn't an actual phone number for tech support. I mean, what kind of mad world would we be living in if there was?
So basically, I'm stuck and if someone can offer some handy hints I'd be most bucked.
Thanks in advance.
