    Hello @all!

I tried to restore a Q10 from a Link backup but was astonished that all data from the privat workspace wasn't recovered. After I had a closer look on the backup files, I recognized that they were way to small. The device is connected to a BES10 and I haven't created a BB ID. But I didn't find any clou that a ID is necessary. Does anybody know if I need a BlackBerry ID to backup all of my device data?

    Best regards,

Yes, Link requests an ID on the device to match the backup's.

I know it works like this for personal data, but I can't tell if the rule applies for corporate backups.

    Still, you could try it.

For corporate it matches the user and server id. Therefore it's working after the new device is linked to the BB server.

But yours is the answer I was looking for. Is there anywhere an official announcement or documentation about this behaviour?

    Best regards,
