It Detects the phone but will not connect and map the drive or back it up!
Very confusing. Link will see my phone plugged in and even performed a factory reinstall NO PROBLEM. Did this cause the phone needed it and I was not able to connect to link or run back ups anymore. So after the new OS is loaded ATT. and updated LINK and everything else.

I still get the same problem. Link sees the phone but says it is not connected so I have no sync options, no mapped drive , no backup options etc etc. WHAT HAPPENED?

Check to see if auto detect is set to on and mass storage is set to off in settings/storage and access on the handset. Then units tall link and reinstall the latest link. Reboot pc and handset. Reconnect handset and see if it will detect and allow. Might need to reboot both a couple times. See if it allows.
