I'm at a loss... Link ruins my computer whenever it does a backup or a restore! I built my pc top of the line about 1 year ago. 8 core proc, 16gb ram, 3gb vid card, amd 990fx north bridge. This is on windows 7 64bit ultimate.

No other app even moderately affects my computer. I can run several high end games simultaneously while streaming music and running videos, etc. (Obviously not practical, just comparative tests) yet when running a backup or restore with link, I can't even type this forum post without waiting for it to catch up! I can't watch videos or even play music without it skipping. It's terrible.

The only thing I can think of is it's something to do with my USB host controller. It's through a USB 3.0 port.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm at a loss. Oh, also, yes I chose to build my computer using an AMD build, no I don't need to hear the Intel fanboy nonsense about how theirs is better. I'm looking for actual help. Please and thank you

It is a known issue with USB 3. Just keep checking for updates. Or use a Lowe specced machine for BB use. And other development needs. I use older laptop for all my note 3, Z, and 9900.

That's interesting as ii thought USB 3.0 was backward compatible.

Just checking here my computer it actually hangs it up and my desktop icons do not come up....so bad I have to restore from before the BlackBerry link was installed so I am really skittish about re installing it...i have a 8gb ram, Quad core AMD, SSD with USB 3.0 running win 7 Ultimate

Can someone explain about the USB 3.0 issue?
