Have installed yet link s says I have an update available - so I run it. Says do I want to repair or delete. I choose repair and off it runs and installs just fine.
Stop it, reboot system for good measure, restart link and the bleedin update splat is still there!

    Anyone else?

    Windows 8

I don't know what is. What do you see when you check for OTA updates under Settings? Also, what do you see if you open something you can type in, like composing a TXT for example and type myver followed by the space bar? It should show your model and OS version.

I know. I want to see if your phone and carrier think you need an update. Link obviously thinks you need an update but do you actually need an update? If OTA says no, you can just ignore Link with respect to the update.

Here's what I'm seeing. I have Link on two Win7 devices. I originally installed onto a Q10 one device 1 and every time I connected the phone to device 2, it's Link would give me the "{Splat} Software Update Available" notification but the update available was 238. This morning I installed 273 to the phone using device 2 and now Link on device 1 gives me the dreaded "{Splat} Software Update Available" notification and...you guessed it...the update available is 273. This tells me that Link isn't properly reading the phone and only knows what's happened via it's device-specific portal. This seems like a brutally novice oversight by RIM. Why am I not surprised.

Nah your missing it still - Link says there's an update to Link available not the phone.

I have the same issue as OP. Links seems to want to update itself even with the latest software

Gotcha now Blockbuy. I only got into Link a couple weeks ago when I moved to the Q10. I'm running and not yet to see a link update. I'm running Win7 and have the "automatically download updates..." box checked. Have you tried going to BB, downloading the 37 installer and loading it directly? I suspect getting the program to 37 is the issue.

I was having this same issue. This worked for me.

Downloaded Blackberry Link (v from the blackberry website and installed that, instead of using the built-in "update" option.

Didn't have to uninstall link first. Cheers BCMike.
