    no the only way to upload an OS is to use windows no .dmg files have even been found let alone the feature in the DM for Mac program to even do that hopefully when it's released it will have that capability

    Well it will have to have that capability because what if a carrier releases a
    new official OS? So I don't think it's anything to worry about.

    Not necessarily from what I've read, the way they made this DM was to limit the number of leaked OS being installed, so even you did get it downloaded you couldn't use on a Mac. I did read something where even if RIM disabled the feature to install unofficial releases, it could still be re-enabled.
