I read in a forum that all you do is open desktop manager and go to app loader and make sure notepad is checked but notepad DOES NOT show up.

then the poster said something about I have to get my OS package for my device. thats where I got lost.

i have a blackberry 8320 from tmobile. Thanks.

Go to the link that was provided in the previous post. Just download the OS
and let it install on your computer. And then go through the procedure of
trying to get the memo pad back again the way you did it.

there are proper OS upgrading procedures posted on the forum. read through it and it will explain how to do it. basically uninstall your current OS in windows and reinstall the new one. then when you open DM, the new OS and all its add-ons will appear as a list. you may then check off the applications/options you want or dont want.

just follow the directions properly so you dont lose any data. make sure you properly back up your device first too.

This may be a lucky accident. Forget reinstalling Memo Pad and
install BBNotePad instead. It allows you to store your memos on
the memory card and not in device memory.

By the way, the OP doesn't actually need to re-install the OS on the phone.
He can just install the OS on the PC and will be able to retrieve those apps
    through app loader again.

i know, but i was going the route of might as well update the OS while you are in there to a much higher and probably more stable version.

OP, if you dont wanna totally reinstall the whole OS, just download your current version and install that. DM will recognize it and you can just select the apps from there. i was just saying you might as well upgrage everything anyways but you dont have to if you dont wanna.
